Every active North Carolina broker must complete 8 hours of continuing education each license year: one required 4-hour Update plus one 4-hour elective, to keep their license on active status.
The license year runs July 1–June 30, and your CE must be completed by June 10. Miss it and your license goes inactive.
General Update (GenUp) for brokers, or BIC Update (BICUP) if you’re a Broker-in-Charge or BIC eligible.
